Facebook Marketing Tips
By Jan Marie DoreI’ve been having fun networking on Facebook lately. I limit the time I spend on it to only 15 minutes a day so that I can stay productive. My VA is posting my events on Facebook for me, and I am getting a great response with more people signing up for my telseminars and my ezine list.

MarketingSherpa ran a good article this week on how to market yourself or your business on Facebook. They point out that the approach to marketing in a social community is very different than marketing in other contexts. It’s more about devloping relationships than promoting yourself.
Facebook has 46 million members, and it’s growing by 3% a week this year, especially with the 25 and older demographic. The average age is 35 to 64 this year. I’ve noticed more and more professional colleagues joining in the past few months.
You can create a profile for your business with links to your blog, articles and other social media sites you are listed on. You can bring the feed for your blog into your Facebook profile. You can join a group or create your own group. There are many groups that are very active and professional and are a good way to make contacts and develop relationships locally or internationally.
Be sure to link with me on Facebook and Twitter and Linked In. Join my Facebook Group for Women Entrepreneurs. … and let me know where to find you!
