Take Your Business Brand Online

By Jan Marie Dore

We had a great call last night on Internet Branding with Ponn Sabra of EmpowerWomenNow.com.  Ponn walked us through 5 ways we can brand our business online using articles, a blog, joint venture partnerships, online press releases, and social media and online networking sites.

We looked at an Online Identity Calculator to determine where our online identity stands right now. You can read Ponn’s post here about Defining You Brand as a Small Business Owner.

Having a strong online brand means you are widely recognized throughout the internet. Ponn’s definition of an Internet Brand is taking your Personal Brand online and strategically creating a community around you.

I love that part of it, that it’s about community and connection.  For me that’s what’s been missing in my online marketing – it’s just been a one-way communication up until now.

To take it to the next level and harness the power of Web 2.0, I am going to explore submitting an online press release about my new community for women entrepreneurs  and creating a profile at Linked In and Facebook. The best part about many of these internet strategies is that many are free or very low cost.

What about you? What action can you take to take brand your business online?

I’m SO glad you’re taking your Internet Brand to the next level!

You obviously understand the concept of “community-building” and “communicating” with your readers and not *at* them ;-)

If you or any of your readers need any help with your Internet Branding, you know where to find me!

Let’s keep the dialogue alive ;-)

    To our success & empowerment,

  2. Hello,

I went to the link about community of women entrepreneurs. I found a lot of good coaching materials you are offering, but could not find a link to a community site. Is it something you are planning to set up in the near future? I would love to share my experience or knowledge with my colleague women.

I see more and more women entrepreneurs these days. I spent a number of years in the Corporate environment, and saw a lot of successful women. But I think there’s a better chance for women to succeed by starting up than maneuvering through corporate politics. Not necessarily because we can not do it, but as economists have theoretically proved through a mathematical modeling, a minority is always disadvantaged.

Thank you for helping women entrepreneurs!

  3. Hello Asako,
The community is a membership site for women entrepreneurs. The information is at this page
    http://www.femalepreneurs.com/coaching_club.html
and when you sign up for the trial you are given access to the community site with all the resources and guest expert calls.

I agree with you that there are great opportunities for women starting their own business. I love supporting more women to be successful in business.

    Keep in touch,
    Jan Marie
