Judith and Jim: The Soft Sell Marketing Approach
ByLast night we had Judith Sherven and Jim Sniechowski on our members call talking about ‘Spiritual Selling’ and ‘Bridging Heart and Marketing’. Judith and Jim were former therapists who found that when they attended internet marketing conferences, the approaches were all ‘hard sell’. They pioneered a heart based, ‘soft sell’ approach which is more generous, caring, respectful, relationship based and spiritual. It’s a marketing style that is inviting, personal, intimate and that works. They believe genuine selling can be a truly spiritual experience.
The soft sell approach can be just as effective for making money. In fact, they say it’s our obligation to charge what we’re worth and expect to receive it. It’s just more inclusive coming from the belief that we are all connected. We can connect from the heart, not just the head, and that’s a much more profound connection.
Judith made a statement about selling that really struck me. She said ‘Invite your prospect to step up rather than you playing small’. I know many women I have worked with over the years are shy about selling and feel they are being pushy if they try to promote their services. Judith and Jim believe it’s our moral obligation to make what you do widely available.
They made an offer of several bonuses to our members who might be interested in attending the conference they are putting on Feb 22-24, 2008 in Los Angeles.
‘Bridging Heart and Marketing’ is the first ever soft-sell internet marketing conference.
